"I'd set off, then realise I hadn't started directions. Then I'd have to pull over, or dangerously try to set them up on the move.

I built One Tap Map to be the solution."

Serena, the indie developer behind One Tap Map

Sound familiar?

  • Every morningTyping the name of a place you've been to a thousand times.
  • Halfway down the roadRemembering you never started directions, and having to pull over to fix it.
  • Wrong spot, every timeThe map takes you to the tower's front. You needed the car park round the back.
  • Wrong appYour favourites are saved in Apple Maps. You drive with Waze.
  • Toll you didn't wantSent through a toll gate on a trip you'd never pay a toll for.
  • Hands fullKeys, bags, a child, and a phone that wants eight more taps.

Set it up once

Each place opens exactly how you want it to.

Choose the app, the entrance and the route once. Every tap after that just goes.

Waze for the commute, Apple Maps for the school run, Google Maps for the gym. Set one default, or choose for each place.

Widgets

Right where you already look.

On your Home Screen and your Lock Screen, in your own colours. You'll barely open the app.

Nothing to refresh, nothing to go out of date. A widget is a door, and it always opens.

Why not just use your map app?

Your map is great at giving directions. Getting the right route started is where the friction comes in.

Privacy

Your places stay on your iPhone.

They sync only through your own iCloud. No account, and nobody sees where you go.

"Why do I need directions for my regular routes?"

You know the route, but your map knows how it looks today.

Directions aren't only for finding the way. They warn you about the crash on the main road and the lane closed for roadworks, and find you the faster way round.
